Qus:- How can I get the bass side of my Dholak to create lower tone?
Ans:- There is a certain type of putty (paste) made of a special tar that is applied on the inside of the bass head to give the head its lower tone. Putting anything on a skin lowers its pitch and hence gives it a deep bass sound.

Qus:-What is the most effective way to learn Dholak?
Ans:- Learning the Dholak takes time, patience, and practice. A beginner should start with basic beats and make his way up to more complex permutations and rhythms. Try practicing with a metronome which will fine-tune and perfect your timing and rhythm. Playing with other performers or learners can break the monotony of practice and help you learn to play in rhythm with other instruments.
